I was browsing through a list of J-dorama for me to watch when I came across this drama – Osozaki no Himawari. Why I am interested is because of the lead actor – Ikuta Toma. I’ve always been on lookout for his drama. So I gave the drama a try and surprisingly, it’s not bad. However, what’s more surprising is I discovered that the theme song is sung by Mr.Children (my fav J-band). I seldom read J-news now so I didn’t know that they have a new album out. And not surprising is that I like the theme song immediately! The song been on my playlist since then. Had to rip it from youtube because I have yet to buy their album. But the YT song will do until I get my hands on their album….

[Lyrics Romanization] Hirai Ken – Japanese Singer Part 1 – Anata to

Lyrics from his latest album, Japanese Singer.  I like the album cover very very much. Im not sure why he named his album Japanese Singer but I have a suspicion that it may be due to a lot of people that mistaken him to be NOT a Japanese singer. He doesnt look very Japanese…conventional Japanese, IMO.  Another reason that I could think of is the recent Japanese earthquake… -___-

I will romanize only those lyrics that I havent romanized before and those that I can find. And it will be done by stages.

I like this song a lot. One of his ballads in this album. I always like him singing ballads than fast-tempo song… and this song only has only the piano as melody. Furthermore, I can hear his beautiful voice in this song more than those fast tempo songs. IMO, his voice is the most beautiful when singing this type of songs 🙂
