[Lyrics Romanization] Hirai Ken – Japanese Singer Part 2

Part 2 – 2 songs: the faster tempo “R&B” and the ballad, “Itoshiki Hibi Yo” (Oh Sweet Days), theme song to 2nd season of j-dorama, JIN.

Look! I found (shorter) live version for “Itoshiki Hibi Yo” ^^

Notes to self:
1. 縫い (ぬい) – embroidery, sewing
2. 絆 (きずな) – bond
3. あわせる – to join, combine (lots of meaning with this verb) but…
in the lyrics: “縫いあわせる絆…” – I think it meant the embroidery
(as in thread?) that bond together? hmmm…
4. 焼き付く  (やきつく) – to scorch
E.g. その光景は私の記憶に焼きついた – The scene was burned into my memory.
5. 運命 – in the lyrics, pronounced as さだめ but I always knew it as “うんめい”…hmm.. why? “うんめい” means fate… but is “さだめ” the same?
6. ひたむき (na-adjective) – Kanji – 直向き , 直向 – single-minded, earnest
7. 触れる (ふれる) – to touch, to feel, to come in contact
8. 吹く (ふく) – to blow (regarding the wind) as in the lyrics
9. 夕陽 (ゆうひ ) – setting sun

———————————————————————————————–

The following song has lots of actual English words, therefore I have italicized them.
