They are not related – LOL. I just want to post these 2 (old) news in 1 post.
JDG as Korean President kind of reminds me of the concept used by the Japanese in the J-dorama, Change, Kimura Takuya as Japanese Prime Minister. Both of the actors are extremely charismatic and top artist in their own country.
As for Kim Tae Woo, he’s back! Can’t wait for his new music 🙂
Jang Dong-gun to Play President
Stud actor Jang Dong-gun will make a comeback to the big screen in a film titled “Good Morning, President.” Written and directed by Jang Jin, the film introduced three presidents with very different styles. Jang will play Cha Ji-wook, a dashing president with charisma and a kind heart. Besides Jang, the film will feature two more presidents with distinct personalities – a president near the end of his term who wins a lottery and Korea’s first female president. Director Jang Jin is expected to incorporate his humor and political satire into the movie. The filming is due to start sometime in April.
“Good Morning, President” will be Jang’s first film in four years since “Typhoon.” His fans are already excited to see Korea’s most handsome actor back to work in the Korean film scene. Jang has been filming his first Hollywood film, “Laundry Warrior.”

Singer Kim Tae-woo Discharged from Military
Kim Tae-woo, the vocalist for male quintet g.o.d., has wrapped up his mandatory military service with honor on Wednesday. Kim began his duty in March 2007 and has been an exemplary member of the military’s search and rescue unit. Marking his outstanding performance, Kim was awarded several commendations from unit commanders and county governor.
Immediately after his discharge, Kim held a concert in southern Seoul at five in the afternoon to thank his fans. He also plans to release a digital single in April and a regular album in July.
Kim’s discharge has upped g.o.d. fans’ expectations about the group’s return. The five members of g.o.d. went their separate ways in October 2005, although they did not announce an official breakup. Now that Kim’s finished with his military duty and Park Joon-hyung is back in Korea to promote his new Hollywood film, “Dragon Ball,” it has become easier for the group members to get together. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the team’s debut, lending credence to the speculations about their comeback.
