Just to follow up on Jet Li’s spanking new film…his movie has started but he’s not on set yet.
Judging from the news below, hopefully the Emperor played by Jet Li is not First Emperor Qin, the guy that the Terracotta Warriors were buried with! (If you want to know more about them, clickie wiki here)
The latest instalment in “The Mummy” franchise, “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor” has started shooting in Montreal, Canada.
However, new actors to the group, Chinese kungfu master Jet Li and Malaysia-born Chinese actress Michelle Yeoh haven’t joint the set yet, Xinhua News Agency reports.
The report said that the filming will in September move to Xi’an in China. At that time the two Chinese actors will join the entourage.
The film will be shot at Xi’an’s famed Terracotta Warriors Museum, making it the first Hollywood production allowed to shoot in the renowned surrounds of life-size statues.
Shooting is expected to be finished in November. Public release of the film has been slated for August 1, 2008.
