have not been posting Songs of the Week for ages now that I think it is inappropriate to follow the old format. LOL, there’s just not enough songs for me to recommend each week. Well, that’s mostly because I need longer time to warm up to an album and I don’t download any album these days (not as much as last time).
I recently upgraded my blog to host mp3 files therefore I am trying out this new idea of mine – to introduce the songs that I like. The files will be available for download/listening for the entire week but afterwards, I will remove them due to limited storage space la. I have yet to decide if I want to open a “special” page for request of the past songs that I have featured here in my blog.
Related to this expired files, I know that most of the MV file links that I posted earlier has expired but I have yet to decide if I want to open a request page for the expired links. I’m still thinking about it…
Although this is not a HQ version (sorry, can’t seem to find the HQ 
), I like to watch this video very much. Not to mention that I like the song too . After watching this vid, I do wish to go to their concert in Japan. I heard someone mentioned in some forum that Mr.Children concerts are one of the must-go live concerts in Japan. Maybe I should check out that Home DVD that they released during the same time as this single was released O_O.
Tabidachi no Uta (旅立ちの唄) is the theme song of the hit movie, “Koizora” (Sky of Love). In English, it would mean “The Song of Journey”. The kanji for “唄” here is not the usual “歌” that I know of. I have no idea why Sakurai-san uses this kanji. Maybe I should ask my sensei
As always, the song lyrics and melody is written by Sakurai-san.

I seldom hear Kobukuro’s songs so…
LOL, I just realised I seldom post Japanese MVs (or PVs as the Japanese like to call them). This song was the theme song to “Orange Days”, the Japanese drama starring Tsumabuki Satoshi, Shibasaki Kou, Eita, Narimiya Hiroki, etc. It’s a nice drama – if you haven’t watch it, you should. The drama is like an updated version of “Asunaro Hakusho” – the one starring a very young Kimura Takuya.
This album was released last week, >< I have totally forgotten about it. It’s a 2-cd album. The release is to celebrate their 15th year in the industry.
