Se7en, who is currently busy with his acting career, announced that preparations for his first single album, which will be released in America, is planned to be around April of this year.

“Se7en’s 4th album concert is planned on April 7 at the Jamsil Olympic Gymnasium. This will be Se7en’s last domestic stage this year”, Yang Hyun Suk, director of YG Entertainment, made clear in a message he posted on February 15 at the YG homepage.

Yang Hyun Suk added that after the concert, Se7en will immediately go to the US to shoot his first single album music video.

Se7en’s first single album, which was already recorded, was produced by Richie Harrison while famous rapper Fabolous participated in it.

“I listened to Se7en and Fabolous’ song and it is really good. It is different from all the other Se7en songs you have heard” expressed Yang.

A new Japanese single promotion and Japan concert tour are planned in June to July. From August to December, sale and promotion of his 1st single album in the US are set.

I’m not very excited over his English song debut. Am I the only one? After seeing the failure of CoCo Lee and Utada Hikaru attempts at English album, I don’t really want to see another failed crossover. That includes Bi/Rain attempt too (he said he will release an English album soon, somewhere in the future). se7en should concentrate on his Korean and Japanese albums – he has more potential in selling there than in US.

When YG said se7en’s English song is better than all his previous songs – ehm, yeah it may be different but will it be different from all the current similar US songs ? US market is very hard to crack as they don’t seem to readily accept outsiders ><, especially those from the Asian countries.

Top star Se7en is filming a world-wide known Coca-Cola beverage brand product commercial under a famous Hollywood film director.

Se7en left for Bangkok, Thailand, where he will stay for 4 days and 3 nights, last February 11 to shoot the commercial with Hollywood movie director David Fincher, who directed “Alien 3″ and Brad Pitt’s “Fight Club”.

David Fincher was awarded the “Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Commercials” award in 2003 at the “56th Directors Guild of America Awards”.

Recently, Se7en tied a 1 year contract extension with Coca-Cola to be its model, together with new generation stars Ho Jie and JJ Lin.

The singer-actor will return to Korea on the 14th to shoot his drama “Palace S”.

His Goong S rating is not very ideal – it’s dropping as each ep is aired. The problem with Goong S is the re-cycle plot and bad actings. I’m watching it and I have to skip a LOT for each episode (I’ve watched until Ep 3). I’m not sure if I want to watch any more…well…maybe when I don’t have anything to watch ><.
