ERU went to the army

Well, see you in 2+ years … I will miss you …

Hot ballad singer Eru (real name Jo Seong-hyeon) entered the boot camp to start his mandatory military service. He was born in New York, but gave up his U.S. citizenship to serve his motherland.

Eru began his military duty at a boot camp in Nonsan, Gyeonggi Province Thursday afternoon. He was greeted by many of his fans at the gate of the training camp. Eru said that he will try to fulfill his duty as a Korean citizen and complete his service as quietly as he can without much media attention.

Eru debuted in 2005 and has produced a number of hits, such as “Handkerchief,” “Black Glasses,” and “White Snow.” Eru and his father Tae Jin-ah (real name Jo Bang-heon), Korea’s top traditional pop singer, are known to be very close, as demonstrated by the fact Tae personally drove Eru to the boot camp to see him off. Eru will stay there for four weeks to receive basic training and then be assigned to public service duty.

Briefly (what I can understand) : 1st May will be the date. Will be in army training (basic) for 4 weeks. Will be in the army for 26 months.

The article did mention the army center that he will be going to but I am not sure where (in English).

Big Bang Wins Pop Music Award

Congrats to all the winners! Big Bang had been having a very very good 2007. They are like everywhere O_O . 2007 to me was a “band/group” year as the ones that are having hits were from groups/bands like Big Bang, Epik High, Girls Generation, Wonder Girls, Super Junior, SG Wannabe+, FT Island, etc. DBSK was big in Japan, too.

Information on his 1st Concert. It will be held on after Valentine’s Day ~~~oooohh~~~ romantic

ERU going to military next year?!

I’m shocked coz I thought he will be going like maybe in 2010 or later. Why are all the singers that I do listen to going to the army at the same time? ERU, Tei, Wheesung, etc… To look at the bright side, he will have them as company, including the boys at Shinhwa.

22nd Golden Disk Awards Nominees

The award ceremony will be held tomorrow (14th Dec). Ryu Si Won and Kim Ah Joong will be the MCs for this event.

The following lists are the nominees. I have problems deciphering some of the Hip Hop nominees, though so I just put the album name as the original Korean album name. The only section that I didn’t put in is the Trot nominees. I have no idea who they are!

Next year will be the “golden” year of artists in the army. O_O Here’s a list of who will be joining the barracks soon. If you know any that’s not on the list, let me know -__-

Eru singing Wheesung’s Incurable Disease

Eh, I have to find time to find this clip I really want to watch if he has improvements in his dancing. I only watched him danced for the first time in that MBank performance he had with Wheesung. BTW, that performance was so captivating coz both of them wore white and sang 2 of the songs that I liked

 

[MV] Eru – Because It’s The Two of Us

WOW, it seem ages since I last upload anything online. This MV has an all-star cast! It has Ahn Sung Ki (who also appeared in Eru’s Black Glasses MV), Park Joong Hoon (Ahn Sung Ki’s co-star in Radio Star movie), Bong Tae Gyu and Lim Ha Ryoung. This is the first song that I like on my first time listening to his new album. The MV is not as dramatic as Black Glasses but I like it.

Oh, I think I may gone overboard with the screencaps…O_O didn’t realise I have done about 42 pics of the MV!

O_O time flies…he’s now coming out with Vol 3…. LOL, I almost forgotten that he’s supposed to release the album in the same month as Wheesung’s.
