have not been posting Songs of the Week for ages now that I think it is inappropriate to follow the old format. LOL, there’s just not enough songs for me to recommend each week. Well, that’s mostly because I need longer time to warm up to an album and I don’t download any album these days (not as much as last time).

22nd Golden Disk Awards Nominees

The award ceremony will be held tomorrow (14th Dec). Ryu Si Won and Kim Ah Joong will be the MCs for this event.

The following lists are the nominees. I have problems deciphering some of the Hip Hop nominees, though so I just put the album name as the original Korean album name. The only section that I didn’t put in is the Trot nominees. I have no idea who they are!

 

m-flo, Wheesung and Alex (of Clazziquai) together in…

…a concert!!! O_O I have that I’m Da 1 clip and Wheesung + m-flo is JJANG! Wheesung already have a solo concert schedule and now he slated to appear as guest – gosh, he is really coming back!

After reading this article, I finally found out what “m-flo” stands for

Korea Times on Clazziquai

You should give Clazziquai a try coz their kind of music is different from the usual Korean  songs. I haven’t actually have time to listen to them but Lover Boy is pretty good . I missed the opportunity to purchase their limited edition album – sucks .

They appeared on the YDH LL recently and lol, they bought that pig mascot of theirs to the show. Then YDH even asked the mascot if the mascot is a he or a she

Found some news about Clazziquai comeback.. they will have a concert in July.

Alex looked a bit buff (hunk?) for the MV – this is the first time I saw him wear like that in the MV. He usually wore suits. Horan also have that 60s look.

Today is Clazziquai Vol 3 album release. Their latest mv, Lover Boy, is already released but I have yet the time to download it. So to overcome that, I found this MV from my MV archive. This was a collaboration between Japanese “shibuya-kei” artist, Fantastic Plastic Machine (real name: Tanaka Tomoyuki), and Clazziquai.

It was one of the most unique MV I have downloaded. It was nominated for 2007 Space Shower Music Video Awards under the Groove category. If I remembered correctly, it didn’t win the award but it was still a cool MV.

They are back !!! I love their kind of music – it’s refreshing. They have 2 versions for this album – Korean and Japanese. They are still sticking to that pig image

Geez, so many editions, I think I’m going bankrupt …Im mulling if I want to buy that limited edition version

Space Shower Music Video Awards 2007 nominations

Hirai Ken is nominated in the Male Video category for “Bye My Melody”. I remembered he won last year for “Pop Star”. I’m hoping he wins. This MV was the weirdest, sexist and ehm, definitely not for the kids ><. I haven’t watched the rest of the male nominees – don’t even recognised the other 4 male singers’ names.

Mr. Children “Shirushi” is nominated in the Group category. I love this song but ehm, the MV is a bit boring. Yes, it shows Sakurai singing with a lot of heart but I don’t think that will be enough to win the award. Hopefully, I’m wrong.

^ I have this MV. It’s a very cool MV. The song name is “Don’t You Know?” and it’s by Fantastic Plastic Machine feat. Clazziquai. The song is very nice too. The MV is nominated under the Groove category.

Chemistry’s “遠影” (Tookage / Distant Shadow) is nominated under the Pop category. I have the MV, just never got around to really watch it.

^ Great , I think I missed this MV – “Sayonara” by Orange Range. Hmm, guess need to go and search for this MV. It’s nominated under the Story category.

m-flo loves MINMI is nominated too (song name is “Lotta Love”) under the Collaboration category. Ahhh…good good…

The awards will be given out on 17th March 2007.
