I’m waiting for the new song(s) from Gummy since haven’t heard from her for awhile… the MV sure will be one of the anticipated MV since Big Bang is ultra popular. I wonder if there will be any “anti”-s for Sandara Park after the MV been released…

Congrats to all the winners! Big Bang had been having a very very good 2007. They are like everywhere O_O . 2007 to me was a “band/group” year as the ones that are having hits were from groups/bands like Big Bang, Epik High, Girls Generation, Wonder Girls, Super Junior, SG Wannabe+, FT Island, etc. DBSK was big in Japan, too.

Congratulations to all ! Ivy actually went to the awards (after all the stuff about her scandal) and O_O Wheesung was on the same scene !!!
Anyway, Ivy won another award which I don’t know what it is (according to this page here). And I didn’t put in the TROT section award winner…don’t know the name to translate it to English. FYI, I have earlier posted the nominees list here.
For the pics, I sorted them according to the artists. I don’t have all the pics of the winners, though. Most of them wore the same attire as the ones that they wore during the red carpet. I am very baffled by Ivy’s choice of clothes as why she looked like that during the award ceremony and the way she looked during the red carpet – it’s like totally 2 different person ??!!! I kinda like Younha’s dress – yep looks gray and all but to me, kinda nice…

The award ceremony will be held tomorrow (14th Dec). Ryu Si Won and Kim Ah Joong will be the MCs for this event.
The following lists are the nominees. I have problems deciphering some of the Hip Hop nominees, though so I just put the album name as the original Korean album name. The only section that I didn’t put in is the Trot nominees. I have no idea who they are! (more…)

Err..that’s why I deciphered from this Japanese news article. Every year end, we will always have the YG Concert, which involves all the artists in YG stable. But this year, se7en is in US so nobody is sure if he will be back for this annual event or not.
Since this is from a Japanese article, I am trying my best to make sense of what I understand so if there’s anything “lost” in the translation, please let me know.

Charity Concert Helps Needy Children
The third charity concert entitled “Love Concert” was held Nov. 27 at the Jamsil Stadium to help underprivileged children.
The purpose of the concert was to enable the sponsoring of poverty-stricken children around the world in a one-on-one manner.
Performers this year included Wonder Girls, SG Wannabe, Big Bang, FT Island and Hwi-sung.
Actresses Han Ko-eun and Yoon Jung-hee personally visited impoverished children in various countries of the world prior to the concert, while actors Daniel Henney, Kim Myung-min and Park Jung-hoon sent messages.
The concert was organized by the Korean committee of Plan International, which is dedicated to helping children and alleviating poverty.
The concert will air on KBS TV1 on Dec. 1 at 5 p.m.

Rapper 60row is making a lot of buzz because of his song “stop ya music” and eliciting hot reactions from Netizens.
This song looks down on idol groups like SG Wanna Be, TVXQ!, BIG BANG and others and labeled them as “rubbish” and insisted that since “rubbish” is the trend in Korean music, it is going wrong.
60row is set to release an album in summer.

According to this soompi thread (by lilshinhwafreak), this rapper said that all 3 of them are not musicians but only musicians who think that they are good with music. I guess this guy just using the popularity of these 3 group of artists to promote himself. I’m opened to opinions but you can still write about the state of Korean music industry without bashing. That’s just so LOW!
Even though I never really followed news of Big Bang or DBSK, I never actually heard them saying that they thought themselves as musicians who are good with music. Similar for SG -SG never said things like that.
