OH, he was also presented with the Rising Star Awards, along with Kong Hyo-Jin. Congrats!

[Vid] Old K.will’s chat

Phew! Finally uploaded this interview file. Been trying to upload it for a couple of days :/ .

This is not new but not that old, as in Jan/Feb this year. The interview was in Korean and English. Interviewee (aka K.will) answered in Korean and interviewer (host from KBS World) asked in English.

After watching this interview, I need to go and change his artist profile :/ thanks K.will for clarifying something ~~

Oh, he also demonstrated his beatbox skills here :)

New movie for Matsuyama Kenichi

Actually, the news actually about Koda Kumi singing the theme song for the upcoming Matsuyama Kenichi’s movie :P .

I think the teaser trailer is already released, maybe you can find it somewhere in youtube ??

Koda Kumi Sings Opera

J-pop diva Koda Kumi (26) has taken her first bash at classical music, kind of. She recently recorded a new song that is based on an aria from Handel’s Italian opera “Rinaldo.” With original Japanese lyrics by Koda, “Alive” is the theme for “Kamui Gaiden,” Sai Yoichi’s big screen adaptation of the 1960s anime “Ninpu Kamui Gaiden” (Kamui the Ninja). It stars the currently red-hot Matsuyama Kenichi (24, photo) in the title role of a ninja who becomes a fugitive from his former clan. While filming last summer, Sai was listening to a favorite aria, “Lascia ch’io pianga” (Let me Weep), and felt that it captured the theme and atmosphere of the movie. With a melody by Iwashiro Taro (44), who wrote the movie’s score, Koda recorded the song over three days at the end of May. It will be released as a single in the autumn. The movie provides yet another high-profile role for Matsuyama, who has made a name for himself in such films as “Death Note,” “Detroit Metal City” and the upcoming “Norwegian Wood.” The all-star cast of “Kamui…” also includes Koyuki, Ito Hideaki, Sato Koji, and Tsuchiya Anna. The movie is scheduled for theatrical release on September 19.

[Music] Songs of the Past 20th June 2009

Today’s selection has more old Chinese hit songs than usual. Most of them were Cantonese songs :) .

Of course, I do have some old Korean and Japanese songs and today’s list a bit long (more songs). There’re also a lot of theme songs featured in this list.

Note: Please do not hotlink files

The [C/K/J/M] indicates whether this is a Cantonese (C), Korean (K), Japanese (J) or Mandarin (M) song.

He even posted a couple picture.  There’s a rumor awhile ago that they were pictured buying facial masks together, which made se7en admitted their relationship. Love Is in the Air for Korean Celebrities

The month of June must be the season of love, as Korean celebrities admit their relationships and make a wedding announcement.

Earlier in the week, popular singer Jang Yun-jeong surprised everyone by admitting that she and wacky comedian Roh Hong-cheol were indeed a couple. Then K-pop idol Se7en confirmed the rumor that he has been seeing actress Park Han-byeol for the past seven years. The whole affair came to light when Se7en wrote a posting entitled “I’ll Tell You Everything” on his mini homepage. The couple first met when they were seniors in high school and has remained very close for over seven years. He said that he didn’t want to make the relationship public, because he wanted to let the affection grow naturally like those of other ordinary couples. But now he’s telling his fans everything to be fair to Park and ask for the blessings of his fans.

Then on Thursday comedian Jung Hyung-don of the “Infinite Challenge” fame said that he’s getting married this fall on September 12th. The bride-to-be is a writer of an MBC variety show and met Jung when they were both working on a show called “The Mystery Commandos.”
